Woolstone Manor Farm

|
The most detailed map of the Woolstone Estate dated 1794 shows the Wainhouse bordering the walled kitchen garden. The window openings in the south wall indicate a very early building on this site, which was rebuilt from a totally derelict state in 2004. The Wainhouse is a single storey cottage equipped to a particularly high standard and the panoramic views from every window are exceptional. It has private parking right outside the front door and a large garden with barbecue at the rear.
The spacious lounge with old oak beams and vaulted ceiling has multichannel TV, DVD and video. Both bedrooms also have televisions, the main double has an en-suite bathroom and the twin has an adjacent shower room. This cottage books Friday to Friday, sleeps 4 people and is pet- and smoker-free.

Grenvilles Granary Sir Richard Grenville owned Woolstone in 1576. His brother was the famous Sea Captain of King Henry VIII's flag ship The Mary Rose. The Granary is one of the oldest buildings at Woolstone and has lent itself well to conversion from the medieval grain store of yesteryear to a charming character cottage with all the convenience of modern day living. Grenvilles Granary is especially popular with families bringing their grandparents as it has a separate twin bedroom downstairs with its own toilet and hand basin. Arranged in an 'L' shape, the kitchen/dining room is separate from the lounge, from which there are views over open farmland to the west and the orchard to the north.
There is a generous parking area for up to 3 cars and an enclosed garden offering fantastic views of the sunsets to the west. This cottage books Friday to Friday and sleeps up to 6 people. |
